Andover parkrun

It's fun to do a bit of Parkrun tourism so we headed off from the hotel in search of the Andover course.  It wasn't very far to jog and we were there early. The first timers briefing warned of lots of mud and rabbit holes but it wasn't too bad. Certainly not as sticky as Basingstoke a few weeks ago. I enjoyed the run and several ladies admired the new sunflower print leggings. I came in just under 30 minutes and was the 3rd woman in my age category. S did well too.
We pootled back to the hotel for showers,  porridge and coffee.
The drive down to Dorset was easy. We stopped in Bridport for some lunch and a walk around.  Picked up a new baby card in anticipation of G's baby's arrival which may be any day now.
Quick stop at West Bay to see the sea before being able to pick up the holiday cottage at 4. We found it OK. It's pretty big for 2 of us but very cosy.  We'd been warned in advance on Friday that the ensuite shower was out of action due to a recent leak. There certainly was a big damp patch on the living room ceiling below.
S tried to watch the rugby but found it too stressful.
Tesco delivery driver managed to find us so we now have provisions for our week away.
Cosy evening with some owls hooting and lots of rain outside.
