Gracie

Journeying home, we stop off above Harlech. We’re visiting Gareth, a friend we met almost 50 years ago in Sri Lanka when we were embarking on our first long haul adventure, and we’ve remained friends ever since. He lives in an ancient Welsh cottage perched eyrie-like, high above the castle, views down to the dunes and sea across to the Llyn Peninsula little short of spectacular.

As it is with such friendships, the years always disappear as we talk - it could be yesterday we last saw each other rather than three years ago or so. And today we meet his new companion, Gracie, one of two corgis now providing company in this isolated home. She is gorgeous - though missing her brother Iolo who is recuperating having been neutered. We’ll have to wait until our next visit to meet him!

So today it’s lovely Gracie who’s my blip subject - and the first portrait taken with my new lens!

Thanks for following our little Welsh adventure!
