Great Excitement II

I let out a little whoop last night as we went out in the car. Flowers on the hedge! I read up on when hawthorn and blackthorn might start flowering and it said it could take five or more years to establish and start flowering - so I gaze longingly but not expecting anything. 

Well, I think this is blackthorn at the two year mark. Maybe sloes for the birds later in the year!
