String quartet plus one

A terrific gig by James Grant and the Hallelujah Strings at the Queen’s Hall. It’s perhaps no surprise, but sitting behind the mixing desk meant the sound was amazing.

At one point I was looking to see who was playing harmonica, then I realised the wailing sound was coming from one of the violins.

The support act, a young guy called Jamie Rafferty, was good too.

It all helped us forget the rugby.
