Leach Botanical Gardens

It was chilly , dreary and wet today . R has been coughing and congested so he slept all morning. In mid afternoon I suggested we go check out a botanical garden I’d read about. Needed to get out!
We went to Leach Botanical Gardens in se Portland . Named after Lillia Leach who was a “ground breaking female field botanist . She went on several rugged expeditions in the siskiyou mountains with her husband John and their two donkeys Pansy and Violet “. It was nice for the short walk we did then the rains opened up again. We will return as it was lovely.
