a lifetime burning

It's another dark gloomy day, of the sort that we seem to get quite a lot in March.  It's not cold, but far from enticing outside with that heavy grey cloud.  Yet already we are only a few weeks away from April.  Certainly there are plenty of signs of spring - it shouldn't be much longer before we start seeing willow warblers.

But in the meantime, at the front of the house the Dunnock was sitting on top of the holly tree singing away for all that he was worth.  He's backlit, although with the limited light today that is not as obvious as it might otherwise be.
