Fungi

No idea what it is, but I spotted this on my (very) short walk at lunchtime. It was a totally miserable day and I’ve now caught Chris’s cold, so not feeling my best.

A little bit of research indicates that it could be from the genus of Hymenochaetaceae fungi. I’d be happy for anyone’s opinion on the subject.
