It is a short easy walk from Cockenzie Harbour to Port Seton Harbour along a concrete path beside the rocks.  This afternoon it was impossible without getting soaked and bombarded by stones being thrown up by the very high tide.  A group of swimmers decided that it was too dangerous to swim in the little horseshoe shaped bay and we had to divert to the road behind the houses for half of the way.  In contrast the water was sheltered in the harbours and there were two boats under water at Cockenzie,  Further east the waves breaking over the sea wall were as impressive as they were last month
