Gender Confusion

We thought he was a she, she seemed so delicate and fluffy when s/he first came on the scene. After being gone for more than a week, today's events made it clear...she is a HE!  Roadina becomes Roadie,

~ How do we know that? .... It began with Roadie observing his alter ego.

~ Shake you tail feathers, just like a dog, a whole lot of tail wagging (trying to woo the "chick" in the the mirror).  Roadrunners are known for their speed, not their keen observation.

~ Then the showing of his "kill" (a live meal worm).  Looked it up: the tail wagging and showing of the kill constitute male mating behavior.  Oh, and his high springing claw flaring...wasn't able to photo that.
