Take care in the sun.

This was the notice board I read while waiting for my appointment in the Dermatology Department at Pinderfields Hospital this morning. 
I found it surprising that more men than women get skin cancer.
1 in 47 women will be diagnosed with melanoma skin cancer , but 1 in 36 men.

Mine was a routine yearly checkup but I have three lesions which need removing.
I went to have them photographed and will have them Curettage Shaved in about 4 weeks time. 
The specialist then said they would send for me every 6 months for checkups in future. 

Once again very grateful for the NHS for this service and the  care and kindness shown to me today.

The damage done to my skin was back in the 1960s when sun cream was applied to get you sunburnt not prevent it.

However no sun today. Rain then cloudy. Quite warm though 12C.
