Woodpecker

I was standing at the kitchen sink when I saw a bright streak of red fly past the trees out back. I looked and saw this pileated woodpecker. I grabbed my camera and snapped a few photos. I had heard woodpeckers pecking on trees, but I had not seen one until now.

A second woodpecker joined it. Maybe we'll see woodpecker babies.
