Wind-blown

The trees around here have distinctive shapes, probably because of the wind and the direction of the sunlight (when we have it).

I was up on the Down above our house, changing the battery on our caravan when I looked along the Down and saw these trees above the farm house and other buildings.

The battery had run down to 4.5v when I changed it two days ago and I thought that it must have died (it's nearly eight years old); but 36 hours of charging on my Halfords smart charger and it seems to be almost as good as new, holding over 13v once it had been off the charger for a few hours.  Let's see what it's like running the caravan's "phantom load", whatever that is, for a few days.
