Shorties again

Managed to find a few hours to go back to Denhall Quay to see the owls again. I wasn't that hopeful as it was quite windy, but I needn't have worried as they showed beautifully, which was just as well as NatureWatcher and F had made the journey up from Shropshire. It was lovely to finally meet and I'm sure there will be some more owl photos later in the day from her :)  Hopefully they enjoyed the high tide spectacle, got some decent images and felt that the journey was worth it. 
The tide was much higher than I expected, but then I've never been there for actual high tide, only afterwards, normally after being at Parkgate. Some people(without wellies) found themselves on the wrong side of the tide as it covered the footpath, so were in for a long wait or wet feet (see extras). 
There were multiple owls around competing with the gulls for the buffet of critters that found themselves stranded on the remaining pieces of ground or debris as the water flooded in. 
Sadly this will probably be the last high tide before the owls start heading back to their breeding grounds later this month, but this week has been fab :)
