Walking ...

Fear not, gentle reader. Nothing untoward has happened to Mr. W! He is just testing out the "fieldworthiness" of a wheelchair we recently purchased.**

Our youngest son is getting married next month, and the wedding is going to take place in an apple orchard on top of a mountain in Brattleboro, Vermont. A beautiful setting for such a joyous occasion, with stunning views in every direction.

The one thing we are worried about is how to get Mr. W's 89 year old mother safely to and from the site. She is very frail, and uses a walker to get around ever since a man in a tearing rush knocked her over in an airport two years ago, and broke the top of her femur. Visions of her falling as she tries to maneuver her walker over rough tussocks of grass convinced us that the best solution would be to purchase a wheelchair. This can be "driven" by one of her big, burly grandsons, and it will also have the added bonus of giving her a comfortable place to sit during the ceremony!

** The fieldworthiness test was successful.
