Sieze the day

New Zealand Army Museum.

Today we travelled from Wellington to Waiouru and to New Plymouth. Today was quite a journey as you have to go inland to Waiouru and back again to continue your journey. Waiouru is home to the New Zealand Army Museum, great diaramas and displays. One display had a Quarter Masters Sergant saying there are two sizes of clothes, too big or too small. I remember in my Basic Training asking for a 10&1/2 boot promptly being barked at you are either 10 or 11 so I have been an 11 ever since 1980. The Auschwitz display of photographs and video of Holocaust  Survivors being interviewed was fantastic and brought a tear to my eyes. This diaramas is of a section exiting a Helicopter during the Malaysian conflict, back in 1981 we flew in the same types of Helicopters from Singapore into the Malaysian jungle and looked just the same. We are in New Plymouth for 2 nights. Distance traveled 520.1km. Lots of Road works holding up travel time.
