Cherry tree

This cherry tree in our churchyard is nearly, very nearly, in bloom when I visited this morning.
It has a plaque by it that is dedicated to a local war poet, Edward Thomas.
It reads...The cherry trees bend over and are shedding
On the old road where all that passed are dead
Their petals, strewing the grass as for a wedding

Looking back I see that I blipped it in full flower on 15th April last year.
This early May morn when there is none to wed.
