Hidden In Plain Sight

Female Eastern Pondhawk dragonfly, trying her best to blend in with some ferns growing at the edge of our pond.  Pondhawks are in the Skimmer family They are busy little dragons, literally snapping up all of the flying insects they can catch during their short lives...two weeks in this adult stage. Females and immature males are this lovely green color and adult males are blue with a green face.
