Wound up in Wexford

By Neatwithice

3rd night, 2nd country

A reasonable night's sleep on our first night, in France, but when the alarm sang at 7.15 we were both sound asleep.

We dragged ourselves into the shower and down for breakfast - which was lovely - proper fresh French baguette and croissants.

First call after packing and leaving was a charger just a few kilometres down the motorway.  Then we had to find a country route around Rouen as we had failed to research adequately to discover that we needed a Crit'Air sticker to pass through Rouen.  After that, an uncomplicated journey, but as we were both fairly tired, we decided not to push on too far.

We only did about 400km, finding the hotel L'Escapade online during our second charging stop.  A small hotel in a small village in Belgium, this house undergoing renovation was visible from the window of our bedroom.

A large bed, but a duvet that was no bigger than the bed, which meant we couldn't really utilise the whole width of the bed!
