Pink Path

There are lots of wild rhododendrons on various parts of Gillies Hill and this year they have been more heavily in flower than usual. The petals however are now fading and dropping and have created some thick carpets of pink on the path which snakes through towards Polmaise road from the top of the quarry. Often this tunnel like path is muddy underfoot and wet overhead but at the moment it makes a very pleasant walk
