CAPE MARGUARITE

I have been admiring this flower, in my neighbor’s front garden, for a while. It seems to brighten this overcast day.
Notice the tiny yellow dots in the center of each bloom.

This morning my guided meditation
celebrated World Sleep Day.
The timing felt a bit ironic because
Daylight Saving Time has started
in the US; & it often plays havoc with sleep.

The Persian poet, Rumi, has a solution:
“Put your thoughts to sleep,
do not let them cast a shadow
over the moon of your heart.
Let go of thinking.”

I will put this to the test tonight…
