Tunnel…

…. How does it stay up??

We blew away the cobwebs today and visited Thornbridge Hall near Ashford in the Water.

We have been before; the gardens are nice.
Today we ‘did’ the tour of the house. We were shown around by the brother of the owner, who couldn’t have been more welcoming. (‘I’ll leave the door open in case you want to pop back and use the loo’).

We were blown away by the treasures the house contains. (Not least, pristine, William Morris and Edward Burne-Jones stained glass windows. Utterly joyous).
The whole estate is, apparently, lived in/on and run by the owners and their family and friends.
It’s a beautiful wedding venue too.

There was a ‘Market’ there today and I bought some cakes which, when we unpacked them back at home, we realised were nothing short of ambrosial! (I wish I’d bought a couple more).

A good day.
And… There was a lady at the market who was offering needle felting lessons! Hmmm… :-)
