Moving a casualty

Probably one of the biggest calls your going to make as an outdoor first aider but one that at some point you might have to make.

This group, many years ago, gave the perfect answer to the question I pose every group:
"why might you move a casualty?"
I've heard so many variations (all valid) rockfall, avalanche, storm, to get to transport....
This group, all paddlesport specialists, gave me the ultimate response:
"the tides coming in"

But on many a beach I could drag you, slide you etc. So today I took them out of their comfort zone and had them move the casualty 100ft down steep ground.
They nailed it.
12 very strong passes.
Ultimately 12 people who would all step forward, all go to help.
Result.
