Horse chestnut

Grim morning. Heavy rain. Maidstone gridlocked as we went to be with Doreen. M20 was closed owing to a bloodstained person reported to be wandering on the motorway.

The afternoon was a little better with some watery sunshine. It was while out in Mote Park that I saw this emerging horse chestnut. It’s rather fine I thought.

Barbara and David arrived after their long drive down from Edinburgh. We’ve decided to cancel the trip to Arran with our friends as Doreen’s condition is critical.
