From the top of a lighthouse….

……to the bottom of a cave! Today we visited the Leuwin Lighthouse at the bottom of the Margaret River region  ( 175 steps up ) then Lake Cave ( 375 steps down! ). I’m amazed I managed! The cave was very interesting as its water level has been proven to be very adversely affected by a nearby blue gum plantation - when the gums were growing the lake level was dropping rapidly in spite of no change in rainfall , but since the trees were cut down it’s returned to almost its normal level.
