Choose Joy

All my little trees are growing buds. The buds are opening. Little leaves, little leaves. Spring has come, spring is here.

Nothing bad happened today I just don’t have much to say.

Drones hit multiple oil refineries in Russia this weekend. Guvnor Group CEO estimates it knocked out 600,000 barrels of daily refining capacity. (I don’t have context for that either, I have no idea if that is a lot.)

There is a Ukrainian teacher who left an area that Russia is occupying. Concerned about Russian brainwashing she and colleagues are holding online classes to teach the students. Everything is top secret. Even saying, “occupation” or doing homework in Ukrainian can get you arrested. Hundreds of families are paying for classes. More are signing up. They leave their cameras off and use fake names.

India didn’t used to buy much Russian oil but with sanctions, Russia offered huge discounts and India became a major customer. “Kommersant, a national Russian newspaper, reported on Thursday that India—the largest buyer of seaborne shipments of Russian oil—has refused to purchase Russian premium ESPO grade oil, which has a low sulfur content—for about two months now. Imports stopped in January and February, the publication said.”
