Barred entry

All the windows on our cottage here in Andalucia have fly/mosquito meshing on the outside which act as screens against invasion! There are not many flying insects around at the moment but as the weather warms up that will change.

This was a visitor today to the kitchen window. It had the loveliest face and eyes, long feelers and shimmering wings. The body measures about 3cm.  It has been sitting in the sun on the fly screen all day and doesn't look to be going anywhere soon. I wonder what it is?
