Wound up in Wexford

Earlier in the day, we jump started the car with its flat 12V battery, and drove a short distance to a motor supplies shop.  Here we purchased a replacement battery, and they leant us tools to remove the old one and fit the new one.

W had watched YouTube videos, and seen that it seemed reasonably straightforward, though the tools we had been leant weren't ideal.  But as we were working on the removal, a man came up, said we shouldn't do it ourselves, as it was potentially dangerous.  He insisted that we take the car to his workshop just down the road, and he did it for us (see extra).  He didn't want any money, but we insisted.  We didn't have any cash except Euros, but we gave him all we had.  The car started!

Back at R's house, we set the car charging the big battery.

In the evening we went round to Z and S for dinner.  First hour spent sorting out young Casper - finish his dinner, nappy free play time, bath, bed.  Then Z cooked gnocchi with sun dried tomatoes and spinach - very tasty.
