Herbivore in the Palm

This happy little yellow brontosaurus was given to my wife as a birthday present by a friend's kid. I love how cute this pack of mini-plant dinosaurs are and how they brighten up my mood when I spot them in the pots. I though this palm would be a great home for him.
This week I've been focusing on learning how aperture works in my "A Year with My Camera". I have a nice photo with a greater depth of field where all the palm fronds are clearly visible but this one where the close ones are blurred was both harder to take correctly and more interesting to me. It's visually distracting but made for a good practice session today.
