Sir Hans Sloane

This is Sir Hans Sloane, a native of Killyleagh, and the person responsible for hot chocolate! It was Sir Hans who added milk to the not very palatable drink made from cocoa beans.
Sir Hans is also responsible for the Natural History Museum in London, it was his collection of artefacts that formed the basis for the museum. It's Sir Hans who is remembered through the naming of several streets in Knightsbridge, Sloane Square and Sloane Street. He was a very busy man!
