Great Crested Grebe

A lovely wander at the local nature reserve this  morning and it was birdies, and butterflies galore!! It's at times like this you need eyes in the back of your head to see all that's going on!

This lovely great crested grebe put on a little swimming show for me while I rested on a bench so was very grateful for that! The best views I've had of one! Other things I got to see were Avocets, Heron, swans, bearded tits, marsh harrier, pochard, shelduck, oyster catchers, geese, dunnock, great spotted woodpecker, wigeon, tufted ducks, godwits, fox and a few peacock butterflies - a very productive hour!

And a productive day indoors too as we had the electrician round to fix a couple of sockets, and we've also had to order a milk bottle crate as the pesky birdies are pecking away at our milk bottle tops again!
