Snakeshead Fritillary

Last year villan very kindly gifted me a little pot of sticks  a pot of snakeshead fritillaries after I'd been admiring them in her blip. Until the last few weeks there was no sign of them at all but all of a sudden they have sprung into life and now I have 5 perfectly formed flowers all sporting that beautiful chequerboard pattern. I am so pleased and will be keeping them in a large pot since my ground gets so wet in the winter I don't want to lose it. . Thank you so much Sue - I am very grateful. 

Still coughing a lot but actually not feeling as bad as earlier in the week, so fingers crossed I might be coming out the other side.
