Not Hungry Ducks

We took our granddaughter to the park and had some food for the ducks. She is in the pushchair on the other side of her Nana.

But the ducks were really not interested, and only two paddled over, but left in the same movement.  Two things struck us. One was that they were not hungry as they get lots of food from lots of people in the park, and the second that they were too busy vying with each other for mating purposes.

The extra is a little sad in some respects. In the park is a centre run by Myerscough College, an agricultural/horticultural college. They have a number of birds and small animals in cages but also two Shetland ponies. Tim and Frank are about 15 years old and spend most of their time in this building, which is the sad bit (but they are taken into a nearby field everyday for a few hours).

Frank has asthma and is on medication according to a sign. So if he coughs or wheezes don't worry as he is being treated.  Freya is 19 months old and kept saying "Frank cough". Well her grandparents thought it was sweet!
