After my session with Cheryl yesterday, which was great.....had some ideas of how to move forward with one of the bigger paintings.   One of the things we talked about was how challenging it is for abstract painters, who rely on the layers of marks and action, that creates the richness i'm looking for .....to cover up a particular part that we can fall in love with at an early stage in the painting!   These 'little darlings' are amazing to come upon, and so are very difficult to give up for the benefit of moving the whole painting forward....Cheryl made a great suggestion, photograph those areas for future reference.  Not to replicate but to able to look at them and try and figure out why you react to them!!!   It's all great information - so here is a 'little darling' - another one in the extra!

We lost power for about 5 hours later in the day, so with no computer to focus on i lay by the window and read!!! Power finally came on around 8.30 pm.....  It was a very late dinner :)
