Back in 1963 I opened a bank account with the Clydesdale Bank. We have banked with them ever since. 
When we were wed we moved our account to the Clydesdale Bank in the market town of Ellon. As you can see from the plaque above the door the branch was housed in the former North Bank of Scotland building built in 1877. A few years ago the Clydesdale Bank was taken over by the Virgin Money Store. Now our branch has closed down, meaning a 40 mile round trip to the nearest physical branch. Progress?
