Millennium mast & Commonwealth Day

The Millenium Mast east erected at the exit from the harbour in St Peter Port in 2000 (obv). It was intended to be temporary but by popular opinion was made permanent. It is used now for displaying relevant flags throughout the year and at Christmas is dressed with strings of lights to make a tree.
Today it is flying the flags of the Commonwealth put up on Commonwealth Day and making a great sight in the strong wind.
