Crummock Water

The main objective of this excursion to the lakes, to climb Red Pike, High Stile and High Crag, had to be abandoned due to the spiteful weather gods.
Unable to go up anything, I decided to go round something, instead. A circumnavigation of Crummock Water followed. Stormy clouds and plenty of rain to enjoy. What is it they say,  "Good weather for ducks" ? I wonder if they had red-breasted mergansers in mind.
