Everyday I Write The Book

Brilliant play this afternoon at the Noel Coward theatre near Charing Cross - The Motive and the Cue, starring Mark Gattis. Totally absorbing account of a relationship clash between John Geilgud and Richard Burton whilst rehearsing Hamlet in New York in 1964. Quite captivating. Double standing ovation from a packed theatre at the end.

We rushed back from London as The Bears were coming over for supper, so all I could manage was a bit of AI enhanced selfie fun by way of a blip tonight. But if you have access to the streaming service National Theatre at Home do grab the play. It’s fabulous and today were the last performances in the current run.
