The River Bed Today…… Dry.

Much of the top of the South Island is now declared to be in drought mode. That may look a little strange to anyone driving through large parts of the plains and lowlands of Marlborough. There are thousands of hectares of grapevines, all as green as green at the moment…… until the grapes are harvested. Then the leaves will turn autumn colours and drop from the vines. There are long stretches of the Taylor River that are bone dry on their surface Bring on the rain!
