The Devil's Punchbowl

If you drive up to the Lynn of Dee the road continues past the NTS property of Marr Lodge, and a little further on you come to parking area at the end of the road. This is called the Lynn of Garioch. from here you walk for 10 minutes or so up the river Garioch and you come to this great river gorge with this feature called the "Devil's Punchbowl". It's been formed by stones being tumbled in a circular motion over thousands of years and eventually it has cracked through into the gorge. cant wait to see it again when the river is in spate!
