Llangranog

I’ve come away for a few days to spend time in mid Wales with some friends. A stunning drive up through Herefordshire and then into Wales . I stopped at the red kite centre at Rhayader for lunch but too early for feeding so pressed on arriving here about 2. L and C are very welcoming and one of my aims is to learn how to care for a sourdough starter and make sourdough , so we set to work then popped down to the beach at Llangranog for a walk and a drink. Back home we carried on with the stages of sourdough bread proving and preparation around making dinner. The dough is in the fridge overnight to be baked in the morning. My vocabulary has been added to with words like levain, banetton, Dutch oven and lame being bandied about… interesting to see how it turns out!
