A Spartan's Mum

Quiet

We walked out to Duchal this afternoon, since it was open under the Scotland's Gardens scheme. It was damp and drizzly the whole time but we have jackets so hey ho.

Duchal is a lovely old house and the walled gardens are impressive, such a lot of work, particularly in the kitchen garden. A burn separates the house from the garden and this was the view from the little footbridge. It actually had a couple of benches on it and it would be a lovely spot to stop and knit a while.

I finished plying yesterday's singles for today's Tour de Fleece and have picked out 200g of Shetland fro my next spin. It should be nice and quick, but I'm saving it till tomorrow.
