Orla & Conor

Donkey Kong 64

Conor has been really into Nintendo 64 games since the emulator became available on his switch. Maybe it's something about the more simplified nature of games from 25 years ago. This is one game that he has been watching videos about that is not available on the emulator, but Dad happened to have kept his old Nintendo 64 in the attic all these years and it wasn't too hard to find an old copy of the game on eBay. It arrived today and Conor spent as much time as he could playing on it.

In the afternoon, Dad and Conor got the train into Glasgow to go to John Lewis to buy some new blue-rimmed glasses for Conor to drink milk out of. He is very particular about what type of glass he drinks milk out of and will still only ever drink water or milk (a good thing!). The last of the old set got accidentally smashed yesterday afternoon. Some new towels were also purchased. Then the usual visit to Waterstones before getting the train home.

In the evening, Mum and Orla attended a little birthday celebration dinner for Papa in The Craigmarloch (formerly The Lodge). Conor and Dad stayed in and watched Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway.
