That's Snow Goose

Bright sunshine, after yesterday's gloom, and a snow covering lying on the ground, which was blinding. It made looking through the viewfinder difficult for the eye to adjust and judge exposure.

A pair of geese don't seem to mind the snow, I expect it's warmer out of the water, although they are well insulated anyway. Unfortunately I disturbed a pair of mallard, which took off abruptly.
