Bahia Palace

Weather was uncertain today so we decided to venture out for a cultural visit. We walked about 2 miles to the Bahia Palace where we saw some beautiful architecture in amongst a throng of people who had clearly had similar thoughts. We were then walking around and were led to the Jewish quarter where the stalls were authentic and interesting. Although we were sceptical about whether we were going to be targets for high pressure sales from the stall holders, it was in fact very gentle selling. We will probably go back now that we have understood more about the stall culture. We came back to the hotel for a late lunch and the sun was out for an hour or so, which meant a brief spell of sunbathing
