Fritillary

Another morning in the garden I finished forking over the deep beds I covered with compost in the autumn then cut the lawns 
This afternoon a bit of admin then a walk down to the river.
Our Fritillaries are just coming into flower and at this stage you can see why they are called snakes head. Quite a few don't have flowers  this year that could be because of the hot dry summer last year.
