Dear Deer Crossing

It sounds like spring but looks like winter. Hopefully the daffodils and jonquils peeking through won’t mind the snowy quilt • On my way out to shovel (chop) I noticed a few dear deer gathering near the road, and rushed inside to get my camera. MrsP watched from the dining room counting ten crossing the road, and another eight retreating into the woods because of a passing car. No doubt they’re hungry with all this snow on the ground and will be anxious for the 5 o’clock not-all-you-can-eat buffet • I actually walked on top of the snow to get to the backyard because we couldn’t open the back door. It was a struggle to clear the deck but it’s done, along with the generator. The pile of snow chunks piled up looks like we’re building an igloo!! • We’re watching second round basketball action this afternoon :) • Peace & Love
