The Kiosk

After yesterday's luxury department store shot I thought I would show you the more normal shopping experience of the average Russian - the kiosk. This is our nearest, literally right outside the side gate of our block and it sells everything from bread (marked across the top) to fruit to chocolates to ice cream to beer. You have to know what to ask for though - through the little window in the middle. If you're lucky you'll get a friendly (or at least slightly helpful) kiosk keeper who will point and make an attempt to to find what you want. If you're unlucky you need to practice your Russian!
