The Old High Church tower

The oldest part of the tower goes back to the Medieval times, making it the oldest standing structure in Inverness. The clock, I assume was a later addition, as was the present church. In 1746 , afterthe Battle of Culloden, Jacobite prisoners were held in the tower insanitary conditions  while also being denied clothing, food or water.
