Unexpectedly busy

This morning was up and out to Dewsbury Hospital to have blood tests done (cholesterol this time). And then off to our local garden centre cafe for breakfast. (The cholesterol clinic would not have approved but I promise to be good for the rest of the week).
The rest of the day was planned to be idle, but the phone rang after lunch with advance notice that the fence is going to be repaired tomorrow. So instead here we are cutting back our very vigorous Clematis Armandii. It must be over 30 feet long so it’s been quite a job. Sad to have to do it while it’s still flowering.
