A trip out

The weather was better than expected so we decided on a trip out. Popped along to Rievaulx Abbey an impressive ruin. Originally a hive of activity and largely self sufficient it took Henry VIII to reduce it to what is seen today. 

It was good to see Richard smiling although he said the photo makes him look old but so much better than a year ago!  Enjoyed looking at the stonework through the camera lens.

A grand afternoon out topped of with tea, fruit loaf and Wensleydale cheese in the cafe.
